Molokini Crater is a crescent-shaped volcanic crater, older than Haleakala itself! It averages 100+ feet of spectacular visibility, offering panoramic marine views. Molokini is home to over 250 species of reef fish, many of which are endemic to Hawaii, such as the spectacular pyramid butterfly fish that often flock around Reef's End. You can also see Hawaiian garden eels, masked angelfish, long-nose hawk fish, manta rays, white tip reef sharks, amberjacks and moray eels. Harlequin shrimp take residence around coral heads and, if you look closely, you might even spot Triton's trumpets and blue dragon nudibranchs in the wall crevices. Thankfully, Molokini is highly protected, as both a marine and bird sanctuary. Still, we are lucky enough to respectfully dive both sides of it. When winds are calm and the currents aren't too powerful, the outer wall is a spot of unrivaled beauty: the depth drops to well over 300 feet! The sensation of floating over a seemingly depthless bottom is thrilling. Book one of our boat tours today, and we'll take you on an adventure of a lifetime. Here's how the day looks: our boat is one of the first out of Kihei Boat Ramp so we have first pick of the mooring. We do the first dive at Molokini, and if we're lucky and conditions stay calm, we'll do our second dive too, though it's always up to the discretion of the captain! For our second shallower dive, we also can do Red Hill, Five Caves, St. Anthony's Wreck! During the surface interval, we hang out in the sun, eat snacks, have some Hawaiian iced tea and relax. We're back at the docks by 10:30am at the latest. Get the day off to a kick*** start. We take care of everything--gear set up, gear cleaning, tank switching. All you need to bring is a towel and your certification card (and wear a bathing suit of course!). A member of our boat crew will meet at the benches to the right side of the docks and you'll wait there until our illustrious captain invites you aboard! Please request to book this tour with the booking form below. Submitting the form does not guarantee a spot on the boat. It first gets reviewed by our staff and you'll get a call from us within 24hrs to process your payment and confirm your reservation.
