PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
Follow Your Passion Further
The PADI Advanced Open Water certification allows you to fine-tune your buoyancy skills, build confidence in your navigation abilities, and try new activities like wreck diving, night diving or underwater videography. It also opens the door to dive sites deeper than 18m/60ft. Don't take this lightly: getting addicted to the deep could change your life.

Course Components
The PADI Advanced Open Water course has two main components to it: Knowledge Development and 5 Adventure Dives. Two of the Adventure Dives are required (Deep and Navigation), and then you get to pick which final three adventures you want to round out the course.
Knowledge Development
As with all of our other courses, the academic portion of this course is completed online via the self-paced PADI eLearning curriculum. The price for the course accademics is $190 and is paid directly to PADI.

Deep and Navigation
The PADI Advanced Open Water course requires that you have solid knowledge of deep diving and navigation. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
3 Adventure Dives
You get to pick!
Your PADI instructor will help you decide which adventure dives are best for you! The best part is that your adventure dive may count towards credit for a corresponding PADI speciality course! Take your time to decide how you want to deepen your knowledge of diving and expand your diving career, and we'll pick the right adventure dives for you. Obsessed with the sensation of being underwater? Try the Peak Performance Buoyancy dive to get even more mastery over your body and movement. Are you a fish species aficionado? The fish Identification dive or the Underwater Naturalist dive might be right for you.
FAQ
How long is the course?
We typically do our Advanced Open Water course over two half-days. We do the Navigation Dive and the first two Adventure Dives on day one. Then, if you're down and we're down, let's do your Deep Dive and final Adventure Dive off the boat. We'll get down to 100 feet and see something rad.
What is the cost?
The PADI Advanced Open Water course costs $475 and you do half the course from shore and half off the boat.
What is the PADI Adventure Diver?
If you don't have time to do the full 5-dive Advanced Certification Course, we can sign you off as a PADI Adventure Diver. For the PADI Adventure Diver course, you pick just 3 of the 5 adventure dives. We strongly suggest that you do your deep dive with us off the boat, and then you'll be certified forever to dive deep to 100 feet, anywhere in the world.
How many students in the course?
We take up to 6 divers for our Advanced Open Water courses. This ensures optimal instructor to student ratio. If you are interested in booking a private Advanced Open Water course, there is an additional cost. Please call for details.
