The early start is worth it to be the first boat on site- it's so much better to hear the whale song than the whirr of overheard motors! The whale song for me was the most spectacular aspect of this dive, but we saw a massive turtle too, as requested! It's great to see the emphasis the B& B's team put on respecting the marine life and discouraging divers from distressing the turtles especially.
It was my first dive in nearly two years but the whole experience was very relaxed and the guides inspire confidence. The gear was all set up and there was no scrambling for gear and the inevitable toe bashing that goes on when there's less organisation on board. The gear was in great condition, and I don't think I ever had a tank as full as mine- resulting in over an hours dive which is rare for me (at same depths). Back on board the craic was good (relax I'm Irish) and there were plenty of snacks and drinks and good humour on the way back. Thanks guys and keep up the good work :)
Andrea.
